Canoeing Trips

For more than 40 years, Outward Bound Wilderness has been using the outdoors as a classroom to provide experiential learning opportunities for students of all ages that wish to discover the best in themselves. Our canoeing trips are designed to do just this and it is no surprise that they are some of our most sought after courses. Like all of our courses, students will have the opportunity to learn new skills, face challenging situations and be a part of something that will help set a positive course for a lifetime.

While the success of our canoeing trips in inspiring personal growth in our students can be attributed to many things, we feel that there are two key factors in doing so. One, our courses are challenging and two, our students have a desire to succeed. During our courses, the students are removed from their familiar surroundings and placed in an environment that is new and challenging where their existing attributes begin to be enhanced and new attributes can readily be discovered. The leadership skills and self-confidence one recognizes in themselves during one of our outdoor programs will soon begin to be applied to many real-world situations and will provide the foundation for a life-long benefit.

At the heart of Outward Bound are our instructors. These individuals are dedicated to providing a safe, challenging, and fun course for all of our students. Our instructors are both experienced in the activity and have extensive knowledge of the area where our courses take place.
